Pansy mini quilt
I was playing around with a pattern - not sure where I picked it up. It's triangles. I made a small pillow with the left-over square. This one is for a former teen aide of mine who just had a baby - her colors are gray and pink, so I thought this would be close. It will be a nice little quilt for the baby to lie on and they can hold the pillow when they're older, or it might be helpful for nursing.

Brown and cream quilt
This was originally a skirt - I didn't like how it turned out and I put the flannel underskirt in inside-out, so I took it apart. I expanded it into this quilt for a colleague whose nursery colors are neutral/cream. It's almost 4x4 feet and has a thin, organic cotton batting and just some simple quilting lines to hold it in place. It will be nice and cozy for snuggling under or for baby to puke on, like babies do...
Quilt tops
These are my tulip squares - seen far away you can mostly tell what they're meant for, except the one in the lower left-hand corner! This will be a small quilt.
I was experimenting with triangles and made hexagons (geometry! it will never leave me alone!) and then put together all the ones I made. I might make more, we'll see. I'm setting this one aside for now.
Large lap quilt of scraps - this one is all the strips cut into squares
Small scrap quilt - last of the strips and some more scraps to fill it out

Tiered batik skirt for Sara the Librarian
Used
- McCall's pattern 7604 (view C)
- I'd previously adapted this, but this time I accidentally put the waist band into the middle tier! I ended up just adding some gathers b/c I didn't want to take it out again. Tiers are hard and I still don't think I've got this pattern altered quite right.
- Fabric
- Using leftover batiks from the purple skirt I previously made for Sara and the dark blue one I made for myself.
- Dark purple Gutermann thread
